Corporate 5k T-Shirt, Ubicquia

An overview of my UI/UX related tasks as a co-op at Ubicquia can be found here.

As a side task during my co-op semester, I created a t-shirt design for a corporate 5k run through downtown Fort Lauderdale. The shirt was also entered into the t-shirt design contest under the category “Most Colorful.” I created a design to unite the team and make us stand out in a crowd, as well as being an interesting t-shirt that can be worn for occasions past the run.

My first sketches and ideas were based on the contest categories of the run, “Creative Use of City Landmarks,” “Most Colorful,” and “Creative Use of Company Logo”

I took inspiration from many of Fort Lauderdale’s landmarks, and I thought of a person taking a run through a city, passing by all of Ubicquia’s smart city products.







I eventually shifted to more of a product-focused shirt, something that represented the company as a whole, and something that people would want to wear for other occasons than just this corporate 5k. The final design features an abstracted and colorful electric transformer with Ubicquia’s DTM product mounted on the side.
